Project Coordinator or Technical Product and Integration Lead
About the Role
We are looking for a Project coordinator / technical lead to make sure it works as well on court as it does in the lab, keeping the product on track from prototype to production. It suits someone who enjoys getting into the technical detail but can also explain it simply to people outside engineering.
What You Will Do
- Own the joint technical delivery plan, interface specifications, dependencies, risks and change log with the development partner.
- Lead weekly partner reviews and give the founder concise progress and decision reports.
- Review BLE protocols and the device-to-app-to-cloud data flow, including pairing, reconnection, interrupted sync, timestamps and data integrity.
- Create and run integration and acceptance tests, reproducing faults from logs and verifying every fix.
- Isolate whether each issue belongs to hardware, firmware, app or backend.
- Review IMU sensor data and classifier evidence, covering sampling, saturation, time synchronisation, confidence and validity flags.
- Check that app metrics follow the approved definitions.
- Oversee OTA update and rollback testing, and iOS and Android release readiness.
- Manage prototype allocation and on-court field testing with real padel and tennis players.
- Coordinate suppliers through production handover, with clear acceptance criteria and test evidence.
- Make sure the company controls its repositories, accounts, credentials, documentation and build instructions.
- Assess technical changes and recommend milestone acceptance, while the CEO retains commercial approval.
What We’re Looking For
- Plays padel or tennis regularly and can give practical court testing and product feedback.
- 6 or more years in connected products, embedded systems, mobile device integration or IoT delivery.
- Has taken at least one connected physical product through real-world testing and release.
- Hands-on BLE and GATT troubleshooting, including binary payloads, transfer integrity, mobile connection behaviour and low-power constraints.
- Can explain their personal contribution to a shipped device-to-app integration.
- Can read embedded C/C++ and mobile or backend code, and write Python scripts for data checks or test automation.
- Practical use of Git, API tools, BLE diagnostic tools and issue tracking.
- Working understanding of IMU data: units, axes, sampling rates, timestamps, calibration and signal quality.
- Can judge classifier validation without relying on headline accuracy alone.
- Experience coordinating suppliers, defining acceptance criteria, reviewing test evidence and controlling technical scope.
- Escalates problems with clear options rather than just flagging them.
- Strong written and spoken English, and clear communication with a non-engineering founder.
- Works independently and remotely, is currently based in the UAE and can attend planned Dubai sessions.
- Nice to have: wearables or sports technology, consumer electronics, sensor fusion or embedded ML, mobile release pipelines and cloud security.
- Nice to have: battery and OTA testing, manufacturing handover, and CE, TDRA or Bluetooth qualification evidence.
- Nice to have: conversational Hindi.
