ThinxSense Scanner
How the ThinxSense Scanner mobile application collects, uses, stores, and protects your information.
ThinxSense Scanner (the "App") is developed and operated by GND Solutions ("GND Solutions", "we", "us", or "our"). The App lets authorized users sign in, scan or enter IoT sensor device IDs, and view live sensor readings such as temperature and humidity for the rooms and devices associated with their account.
We are the data controller responsible for the personal information processed through the App. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us using the details in the Contact & support section.
This policy applies to the ThinxSense Scanner mobile application on Android (and other supported platforms) and to the personal information we process when the user uses it. It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or identity providers that we link to or integrate with, each of which is governed by its own privacy policy (see Third-party services).
ThinxSense Scanner is intended for use by authorized users of GND Solutions and its customers. The user needs valid account credentials, provisioned by the user's organization, to use the App.
We collect only the information needed to authenticate the user and show user's sensor data. We do not collect location data, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and the App contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

You can review or revoke these permissions at any time in your device's system settings. Revoking camera access will disable QR scanning; you can still add devices by entering the ID manually.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
We share information only as needed to operate the App:
We do not share user's personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user's information.
You can request deletion of your account and the personal data associated with it at any time.
To request account and data deletion, email us from the address associated with your account:

Please include the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and the email address you use to sign in, so we can locate and verify your account.
Upon a verified request, we will delete or de-identify the personal information associated with your account, including your account identity records (name, email, phone, role) and your saved device associations. We will confirm once the request has been completed.
We may retain a limited amount of information where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, or enforce our agreements. Any retained data is kept only for as long as required for those purposes and is then deleted or de-identified. Aggregated or anonymized sensor/environmental data that can no longer be linked to the user may be retained.
You can remove the App's locally stored data at any time by logging out and uninstalling the App from your device. This clears the session tokens and saved device list held on the device.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to request a copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at venkatesh.tk@gndsolutions.in. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
ThinxSense Scanner is a business/utility application intended for authorized users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Our service providers (including AWS and Microsoft) may process your information in data centers located in various regions. Where information is transferred across borders, we rely on the safeguards and contractual protections offered by those providers to protect your information consistent with this policy and applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
